The Microscan tests for the following:

Microscan

Innovative ultrasonic level measurement

The MicroScan™, developed by Solid AT, is a low-cost ultrasonic, non-contact gauging device for level measurement of liquids and solids in ranges of up to 5 meters (16.5ft). MicroScan™ has 4-20mA measurement output and an optional on-board LCD display for constant view of measurement results.  The MicroScan™'s flexible design supports various types of industry applications, offering ease of installation and automatic temperature compensation. Equipped with advanced inteqrferences trace algorithm, MicroScan™ delivers reliable measurement results even in the noisiest environments. For set-up and configuration, an hand held device called MSU (MicroScan™ Setup Unit) is used. MicroScan™ Set-up Unit features a keyboard and a display designed to configure the MicroScan™ unit in the field, thereby allowing a cost-effective use of the product.

 Advantages

  • Low-cost solution
  • Accommodates a wide range of applications
  • Modular design to fit budget constrains
  • Very easy to install
  • Fast set-up and run time

 Features

  • For liquid and solid applications
  • Blind unit (no display) or optional display- unit
  • MSU (MicroScan Setup Unit) incorporating both display and keyboard
  • Up to 5 meters (16.5ft) measurement range
  • Sophisticated algorithm to overcome acoustic interferences and false echoes
  • Maintenance-free
  • MicroScan™ is based on Solid AT' patented technology integrating 4 modules:
    • Standing wave control transmits a fixed pulse and frequency at constant voltage, enabling the device to receive a similarly controlled oscillation where each wave is identifiable. By measuring energy loss as a function of the speed of sound, MicroScan™ can handle complicated environments.
    • Dynamic and static echo control features an innovative algorithm enabling automatic (dynamic) identification, learning and storage in memory of disturbances and noises without human intervention.
    • Temperature compensation rapidly compensates for changes in temperature and corrects the measurement accordingly.
    • Gain control's special algorithm enables full monitoring of signal amplification received from the sensor, and ensures an accurate and reliable reading.
