Comparator Systems
Comparator and Discs - the versatile method of water testing. Accurate and reliable for the professional analyst; quick and easy for the casual user. The Palintest Comparator with interchangeable colour discs is so simple to use - just add the tablet reagent to the test sample, place in the comparator and match against the appropriate disc. Colour discs are available for complete range of water tests parameters.
Discs are produced by the latest technology which enables the colors to be printed from a palette of over two million different shades - ensuring a perfect match against the colours produced in each test. The long-lasting wipe-clean polyacrylate discs conform to international dimensions and can be used in most standard comparators. Colour discs are manufactured using colourfast inks and light resistant materials.. There should be no loss of colour integrity of the standards with time.
In a series of trials in which colour standards were subjected to continuous ultra-violet light for a period of one month, and to natural unshaded daylight for a period of one year, no loss of colour was observed. Users can confidently expect colour discs to give many years of satisfactory service under the recommended conditions of use and storage.
The Comparator and Discs are available in complete test kit form or separately for use with existing equipment.
It is so easy to choose a water test kit to suit your application - whether it is just for one test parameter or for a dozen. First choose one of the two comparator kits - Standard or Deluxe - then select the starter packs for the tests you need. The kits and starter packs match up to make a complete water test outfit.
PT 220 Standard Comparator Kit
The Standard Comparator Kit contains Comparator, four square test tubes and dilution tube in a molded plastic carrying case. Space to hold up to four reagent starter packs. Does not contain reagents.
PT 225 Deluxe Comparator Kit
The Deluxe Comparator Kit contains Comparator, six square test tubes, stopwatch, De-Ion Pack deionised water makers, dilution tube and sample container. Space to hold up to fifteen reagent starter packs. Does not contain reagents.
PT 522 Light Unit
Portable light unit which fits into the back of the Comparator. Provides standard lighting conditions for carrying out comparator test. Essential when using the comparator under dull or artificial light conditions.
The light unit has rechargeable batteries and is supplied complete with mains recharger. Available in 240v, 220v and 100v versions (please specify).
Starter Packs
Starter packs are available for each test and test range - see table for order codes. Starter packs contain the appropriate colour disc and sufficient reagents for 50 tests of the specified parameter. Packs are designed to fit into either of the comparator test kits previously described.
Replacement Reagents
It is important to know that a supply of replacement reagents is readily available for your Comparator Kit and for existing equipment. Replacement reagent packs are available for each test - see table for order codes.
Replacement reagent packs contain all of the tablets necessary for carrying out the specified test. There is no need to order individual reagents. Packs contain sufficient reagents for 250 tests, except those for fluoride, nitrate, phosphate LR, silica and sulphide which contain reagents for 200 tests.
